Welcome to our archery practice! Here, we embrace the art of using traditional longbows, honing our skills and connecting with a time-honoured activity. We are passionate about sharing the joy of archery with everyone, from locals to visitors at the priory.

Crafts
Meet our community, where we are dedicated to preserving and continuing the rich traditions of ancient crafts. Our members passionately engage in historical practices such as spinning, leatherworking, calligraphy, and metalworking. If the weather is against us, we sit in the house, sewing new or mending kit, fletching arrows etc.

At our club, we recognize that not all members wish to participate in shooting activities. Therefore, we actively promote demonstrations of historical crafts, providing a deeper understanding of ancient times. This approach not only enriches the experience for our members but also creates a more interactive and engaging environment for the public.

Games
Throughout the season we dive into the past with engaging historical games like 'the game with no name' and 'three/six man morris.' These timeless activities not only entertain but also foster a sense of community, reflecting the rich tapestry of historical life.

Lawn Cub
Welcome to Lawn Cub, where fun meets friendly competition! Whether you're playing solo or in teams, the goal is simple: knock down the king in the center of the square. Meet Bob, our reigning champion, who has faced many challengers but remains undefeated. Join us for a game and see if you have what it takes to dethrone him!
Combat Practice and Demonstration
Join us once a month for an exciting opportunity to hone your combat and weapon skills in our dedicated arena! Whether you're interested in mastering staffs, swords, axes, or self-defense techniques, we have something for everyone. Our sessions also cover the use of shields and slings, ensuring a well-rounded experience. Don't miss out on the chance to learn and practice in a supportive environment!
Show And Tell
Come and see our collection of historical replicas! Throughout the year, member will bring along their personal collections for an impromptu show and tell for the public. You can explore an exciting array of items, from swords and shields to bows, arrows, helmets, tools, and jewellery. We invite you to come and handle these incredible pieces while engaging in conversation with the passionate individuals behind them.
